When a party is thrown, it’s a massive anticlimax when it’s anything less than extravagant. Yet, some of us sit around saying, “I don’t have the imagination for planning a big party.” Some of us are a little shy so you wouldn’t want to choose a theme that will put someone in the spotlight that doesn’t want to be. For shy individuals, you’ll want to choose something that encompasses the entire guest list, rather than singles them out.

Themes such as cartoon, western, Disney and toy characters are good for either the shy or the outgoing individual. You may also choose a fair or carnival theme. Banners, balloons, party favors, prizes, games and food are always involved and these usually make the party a big success. Pick games such as memory, musical chairs, races or darts and you’ll find that despite the mature exterior, even the hardest adult will giggle as someone gets shoved off a chair.

Bags filled with tiny, useless things are the best part of every individual’s party time. Fill them with kazoos, noise makers, tiaras, wands, makeup, water guns or generally anything that suits your theme.

Don’t fill the guests with steak. Give them a buffet of finger foods and fruit. On the other hand, if your party will last for hours or most of the day, take time to serve guests dinner or lunch. If you put out overstated foods, they’ll be ignored. Throw out some chips and refreshments; you’ve got yourself a hit.

Slap on your Stetson, pull on your boots, hitch up your britches and get ready to line dance the night away! A Western themed party is a great way to celebrate your Western attitude or to bring out you inner child, wannabe cowboy. Western themed parties are really fun to decorate and set the whole Western atmosphere for your guests. You can go to extremes with this adventuresome theme. So partner, blow up your John Wayne inflatable and pin on your sheriff badge and let’s party Western style!

Start with themed invitations to fill in your guests on your Western blow out. Next, you need to start shopping for the variety of decorations you will need to transform your place into a western scene. You may want to go Old West with wanted posters and life size character blowups strategically placed around the party area. Greet your guests at the door with bandanas, hats, badges, Snidely Whiplash villain type mustaches, water guns or “bang” guns (when you pull the trigger they pop out a flag with the word “bang”).

Decorate entire walls with rolled scene setters simulating desert and saloon scenes, swinging doors and Wild West character props. These scenes are sure fire ways to put your guest in the Western mood.

Keep your guests moving with music guaranteed to make ‘em dance. Country CD’s with favorites such as Boot Scootin’ Boogey and Achy Breaky Heart are sure to be a hit. Your Western party is certain to keep your friends talking for some time to come with decorations and music guaranteed to get everyone laughing. Order your Western themed party supplies online to throw the perfect party for any occasion.
